We don’t exactly have a magic wand, but we can turn your pumpkin into the house you always wanted but weren’t sure you could have.
Walt Disney has Disneyland, we have the Design Studio. And while we may not have a fairy godmother, we do have Carolee. She’ll pull it all together, help you coordinate, and bring it on home…in a matter of speaking.
Here are a few things you should know about the Design Studio, followed by a detailed list of standard features and tips for your first appointment.
What is the Design Studio?
The McCall Homes Design Studio is the place where you can make your home yours. We’ve compiled an assortment of quality products, from flooring to faucets, to make your home beautiful, comfortable, and durable.
What kind of options will I have to choose from?
At the Design Studio you will be able to choose the things that will make your home unique. We display options such as Moen faucets, Mohawk carpets, Koch Cabinets, Kichler lighting, Dal Tile, Schlage door knobs and levers, Mannington resilient flooring, Sherwin-Williams paint colors and many others.
How much are McCall home-buyers investing in options?
Investment varies from person to person. Keep in mind that upgrades will only add dollars a month in the mortgage payment.
The typical homeowner will only pay on that mortgage for seven years – the average time a person stays in a home in today’s market. We work to make your ideas and dreams a reality.
Can the options I choose be included in my loan?
All of your options will be added to the price of your home and included in your loan. This means that you can use extra loan funds to upgrade such options as cabinets, flooring, countertops, lighting, appliances – everything to personalize your home.
What deposits are required on upgrade options?
2% of the standard home price is required as deposit. The first 1% of that is due at the Reservation Agreement, the second 1% is due upon signing the buy/sell. Any options over $5,000 require an additional deposit of 25%. This amount is due within 30 days of signing the buy/sell.
Do I need an appointment to visit the Design Studio?
An appointment is required to meet with a Design Consultant, to discuss standard features and options and to get pricing on upgrades. When you have contracted to purchase a McCall home, we will contact you to schedule a series of half-day appointments in which you will make your decisions.
How can I best prepare for my Design Studio appointment?
Review the “Preparing for your visit” list given to you by your salesperson. Before your design appointment, spend time considering what your top 10 priorities are for your new home. That list will typically point you towards where you’ll be spending the most time and investment when making your selections.
