In 1993, Jim McCall founded McCall Homes.  But Jim and his family (sons Greg and Brad and daughter Carolee) didn’t want to become just another home builder or developer.  (What would you expect from a guy who built a successful pool business in a market with 3 months of summer?)  They wanted to do something unique and meaningful.

They wanted to build more than just quality homes.  They wanted to build a neighborhood. A place where Jim could watch his grandkids grow up right in front of him, and a place where Brad, Greg and Carolee would all have a built-in babysitter!  More than that, they wanted to do it responsibly- in a way that didn’t contribute to urban sprawl, and that would be affordable for all.

Our mission is empowering people, from our team who bring homes to life, to our neighbors who bring life to homes.  We create unique, sustainable and affordable homes in an environment where community it nurtured.

Here are a few of the folks that help make it happen:

Don’t let the studious face fool you.  Brad McCall, or BM as some of us call him when he can’t hear us, is all at once the hilarious, quiet, um humble, genius who works his tail off to help make McCall Homes run like a well-oiled machine.  Bradley is McCall Homes’ chief estimator, technical support department, building science and energy efficiency expert and all around go-to guy for all the stuff the rest of us can’t figure out.  He’s kind of a wolf-pack of one.

Remember how George from the Beatles was the “quiet one”?  That is how part owner, Carolee McCall-Bonner is perceived by many because when she’s with her brothers, she has a hard time getting a word in edgewise.  Her quiet resignation does not mean she is quiet however.  Those who have gone through design studio appointments will attest to this.  Carolee is a little fountain of knowledge when it comes to everything you need to build the coolest home for you.  More than that, because she is a professional interior decorator, she can pull together all your choices in a way that will make your home a source of pride and joy for years to come.

Every company has a wizard that secretly runs everything, while allowing everyone else to think they are running things.  For McCall Homes, that is our very own Diana Taylor.  As our receptionist, bookkeeper, and Mother Hen, Diana cheerfully takes care of each and every one of us, while seeing to the daily demands of McCall Homes.  All our resident dynamo asks in return is that you just stay out of her way.

Rob Garza, our Construction Supervisor, brings to the construction site what Diana brings to the office…a little shock and awe.  Garz has no less than 400 things going on simultaneously (on a slow day) and somehow makes it look like a stroll in the park.  We’re convinced he’s cloned himself to be able to do all that he does, but we can’t prove it.  We’ll catch him someday.  He can’t keep up all this brilliant multi-tasking without slipping up at some point.

THE FUN TEAM….

Greg McCall, (pictured left) co-owner of McCall Homes (in case you didn’t make the connection) is a builder and resident of Josephine Crossing.  In and amongst other super important duties, Greg is in charge of the Fun Team (not as glamorous as it sounds).  Having grown up in Billings and graduated from the University of Montana, Greg has a bunch of degrees and some other cool looking certificates on his wall, but his most impressive accomplishment is his family of four children he is raising with his wife, Erin.

Jared Dickerson (pictured right) comes from the great state of Colorado, but considers the Big Sky state his home, and currently lives in Billings with his wife Natalie and daughter Lillian.  He is an Interior Designer by trade, helping to design and draft plans for McCall Homes.  Jared is not only a chief member of the Fun Team, he is also the Master Warranty Foreman, which is a hat he wears proudly!

Kat Hobza hails from sunny Victor Montana, but has been a resident of the Magic City for 15 years.  When she is not sharing her love of Josephine Crossing with friends, neighbors, visitors, and basically anyone who will stand still for 10 seconds, she rents out storage units in Billings’ most luxurious self-storage facility, Lock and Guardian.  Her free time is spent outside (hiking, walking, playing in the river bottom), writing, hanging with her teenagers or The Real Housewives of Josephine Crossing and taking cheap shots at her cat.
